Er ist Gott.
Ein gütiger Gott, der nicht mit irgendeinem herausragenden und fernen Wesen zu verwechseln ist, zu dem zu gelangen uns nie möglich wäre, sondern ein Gott, der unser Nächster geworden und uns sehr nahe ist, der für jeden von uns Zeit hat und gekommen ist, um bei uns zu bleiben.
Da fragt man sich spontan:

A good God who must not be confused with any sublime and remote being, whom it would never be possible to reach, but a God who made himself our neighbour and who is very close to us, who has time for each one of us and who came to stay with us.
It then comes naturally to ask ourselves:

Im Gegensatz zu dieser Einstellung ist der „Andere“ in christlicher Sicht, auf der Grundlage der biblischen Botschaft, der Nächste, und als solcher verdient er/sie, in seiner/ihrer Menschenwürde respektiert zu werden.
So rufen wir alle Kirchen zu einer offeneren, inklusiveren Haltung auf Gemeindeebene auf.

We appeal to all churches to become more inclusive at local level and welcome and meet “the others” in the spirit of love.
