Terézia Mora, geboren 1971 in Sopron, Ungarn, lebt seit 1990 in Berlin und gehört zu den renommiertesten Übersetzerinnen aus dem Ungarischen.
Für ihr literarisches Debüt, den Erzählungsband Seltsame Materie, wurde sie mit dem Literaturpreis open mike (1997), dem Ingeborg-Bachmann-Preis (1999) und dem Adelbert-von-Chamisso-Förde... (2000) ausgezeichnet.
Für Ihren dritten Band Das Ungeheuer erhielt sie im Herbst 2013 den Deutschen Buchpreis.
