The area where the feature was constructed had very little light to work with, and given the background colour of the rock, Danny would have blended into the natural features a bit too much.
That said, I used two small flashes on Danny and one strobe in the cave (with orange gel) to pull the contrast apart for this image and make sure all important features were lit effectively.
The snow needed no additional illumination.
