Am 8. Oktober 2012 wurde bei einer im Auftrag von Sachsen veranlassten amtlichen Laboruntersuchung in Sachsen-Anhalt Norovirus der Genogruppe II in einem Gebinde der verdächtigen Charge TK-Erdbeeren nachgewiesen.
In Verbindung mit den epidemiologischen Studien des Robert Koch-Instituts ist der Ausbruch von akutem Brechdurchfall damit aufklärt.
