2013 to 2014 Context Yemen’s historic city centres, some of which are classified as world heritage sites, harbour great economic and sociocultural potential. It is important, both for the identity of the country and the development of its ‘second’ and ‘third’ cities, that this potential is harnessed.
These centres are under threat as a result of poverty, decay, inappropriate modernisation and failed transformation processes.

The current focus of our research is Romani as a European minority language and the sociocultural and sociopolitical situation of its speakers, as well as the linguistic and cultural diversity within Graz.
In addition to its linguistic field of activity, [spiːk] increasingly deals with cultural, historical and educational topics.
