The talk shatters all the set time limits, but each participant is glad that he is given free rein here as the final speaker.
At the end of the day, fat addresses with humour and self-deprecation the “Tragedy of Open Source” which sooner or later lets its big projects get out of hand, making them uncontrollable and driving their creators crazy in one way or another.
Unfortunately, however, the promised “positive punch line” of the talk escaped me – except for an invitation to the “already revolutionary-minded French to rectify this problem by rebelling”.

Im Endeffekt spricht fat mit Humor und Selbstironie die “Tragedy of Open Source” an, die große Projekte irgendwann aus dem Ruder laufen lässt, unkontrollierbar macht und ihre Ersteller auf die eine oder andere Weise in den Wahnsinn treibt.
Die versprochene “positive Punchline” des Talks blieb mir jedoch leider verborgen – bis auf eine Aufforderung an die “ohnehin revolutionsfreudigen Franzosen, dieses Problem durch Aufbäumen zu beheben”.
