This format is a new addition to our past energy conferences.
In January 1948, the first EWI conference took place in Burg Wahn near Cologne.
At that time, 70 attendees from industry, politics and organizations participated in discussions and lectures about the future development of the German energy industry.

Im Januar 1948 nahm die Ausrichtung von Konferenzen des EWI mit der 1. Energiewirtschaftlichen Arbeitstagung auf der Burg Wahn bei Köln ihren Anfang.
Damals diskutierten und referierten 70 Teilnehmer aus Industrie, Politik und Gewerkschaften über die zukünftige Entwicklung der deutschen Energiewirtschaft.
