Using infrared technology to measure the body surface temperature is an accepted diagnostic method in lameness examinations of horses.
The main intention of this study was to investigate the feasibility of an infrared thermometer, manufactured by Keralit ® Veterinär- und Pferdetechnik GmbH, in measuring the pattern of the body surface temperature of equine limbs.
