So hätten die 1 x 2,20 Meter großen Türen bei konventioneller Bauweise 48 Kilogramm gewogen, eine Masse, die nur sichtbare Tragbänder oder herkömmliche Türangeln hätten halten können.
Die Konstrukteure lösten das Problem durch Verringerung des Türgewichtes, wobei sie eine Sandwich-Konstruktion für das Tragwerk der Türplatten wählten und auf der nicht sichtbaren Seite der Platten Taschen einfrästen.

The technical designers solved the problem by decreasing the weight of the door, opting for a sandwich construction to the wing units for the door leafs, milling pockets on the reverse (non-visible) side.
