Der Pfarrer Don Mario Locascio wollte diese Sonnenuhr um nach fünfzig Jahren die Anwesenheit auf der Kirche einer alten zerstörten Sonnenuhr, die während einer Restauration der Außenfassade der Kirche beschädigt wurde, wiederherzustellen.

Beim Blättern in einem Buch über Schlösser und Burgen von Berlin und Brandenburg war auch ein Bild des Schlosses auf der Pfaueninsel abgebildet, auf dem ganz winzig etwas zu erkennen war, das wie eine Sonnenuhr aussah.
Die in der obigen Collage enthaltenen Bilder sind vom 12. Januar 1997.

While browsing through a book about castles of Berlin and Brandenburg I found a picture of the castle at the Pfaueninsel, where a small object looking like a sundial was visible. This sundial was not present after the erection of the castle, because early steches are showing the scenery without a sundial.
The pictures of the collage above are all made January the 12th, 1997.

Die Sonnenuhr zeigt elf Uhr wahre Sonnenzeit an, an einem Tag Ende Mai wenn wir uns kurz vor der Sommersaison befinden, an einem Tag Ende Juli wenn wir uns vor dem Herbstäquinoktium befinden, dieser ist auf dem Zifferblatt durch die schiefe Gerade dargestellt.

The sundial is indicating solar eleven o’clock on a day close to the end of May, in the case that we are going towards summer, or on a day close to the end of July in the case that we are going towards the autumn equinox, represented on the quadrant by the oblique line.

Diese Sonnenuhr wurde in der Höhe des Dachgipfels des Laubenganges verwirklicht um die Verfinsterung der Sonnenuhr durch den Schatten des Daches so viel wie möglich zu verspäten.

Die Äquatoriale Sonnenuhr benötigt die Oberflächen der beiden Quadranten mit Neigung der lokalen Breite, der untere wird vom Herbstäquinoktium bis zum Frühlingsäquinoktium beleuchtet, umgekehrt der obere.
Die Äquatoriale Sonnenuhr hat die Neigung der lokalen Breite die für Aiello del Friuli 45° 52’ 16“ beträgt.

Equatorial sundials need the surface of the two quadrants to be inclined according to the local latitude; the lower one is illuminated from the autumn equinox to the spring equinox, while the upper one is lit vice versa.
This equatorial sundial is inclined according to the local latitude, which for Aiello del Friuli is 45° 52’ 16’’.
www.ilsoleeiltempo.itDie obige Sonnenuhr befindet sich an der Schule in der Willi-Sänger-Straße 1 und ist zu den Sonnenuhren im Umfeld der Archenhold-Sternwarte zu zählen.
Die Schule wurde, wie auch die Jahreszahl auf der Sonnenuhr zeigt, 1963 fertiggestellt und liegt etwas versteckt in einem Wohngebiet, das wahrscheinlich im gleichen Zeitraum entstanden ist.
Das obige Foto ist vom Spätfrühling 2000 und verweist auf eine Nahansicht der Sonnenuhr ( 165kB ) vom gleichen Tag.

The school ( and the sundial ) were completed as the date of the sundials shows in 1963, and they are somewhat hidden within a residential area of the same time.
The photo was made in the late Spring of 2000 and is referencing to a close-up to the sundial ( 165kB ) of the same day.
