Der Fackellauf vom antiken Olympia bis zur Austragungsstätte war eine maßgeblich von nationalsozialistischer Propaganda und Ästhetik geprägte Neuerung.

Watched by tens of thousands of spectators, the torch bearer ignites the Olympic flame in front of the Altes Museum at the Berliner Lustgarten on 1 August 1936.
The introduction of the torch relay from Olympia in Greece to the site of the Olympic Games was an innovation shaped by Nazi propaganda and aesthetics.

His participation was made possible by the BMW Foundation in cooperation with Rock Your Life!, a mentoring organization which paired Dominik with a university student coach after he finished his schooling.
