The programme works closely with the regional, national and local authorities responsible for youth policy, education and violence prevention as well as with youth networks, youth-relevant non-governmental organizations ( NGOs ) and with international cooperation institutions operating in the field of youth promotion, violence prevention and peace culture.
The regional programme cannot, and indeed should not, contribute directly to the fight against organised crime and national and regional drugs-related crime.
Neither does it work directly with youth gangs or in the rehabilitation of criminal youth.
