Während die Sarouelhose einen tiefsitzenden Schritt hat, sind Jodhpurs nur an den Oberschenkeln großzügig geschnitten.

fashion.onblog.atViele verwechseln diese Hosenform mit Sarouel, deshalb möchte ich den Unterschied dieser beiden Schnitte erklären :
Sarouelhosen haben einen luftigen, tiefsitzenden Schritt, der teilweise bis unter das Knie reicht, Jodhpurs hingegen sind unten eher eng, dafür vom Knie abwärts weiter geschnitten.
Die Hosenform stammt aus Indien und hat ihren Ursprung als Reiterhose – deshalb auch der weite Schnitt an den Oberschenkeln, damit sie beim Reiten komfortabel sitzt und den, die TrägerIn nicht einengt.

Sarouel trousers have an airy, deep-seated step, partly extended to under the knee, Jodhpur, however, are more closely below, but have a wider cut from the knee downwards.
The trousers shape comes from India and has its origins as horse-riding trousers – hence the wide cut at the thighs, so that they sit comfortably at the horse riding and do not corset the wearer.
