Er krönte seinen fruchtbaren Beitrag für das religiöse und zivile Leben der abessinischen Völker mit der Hingabe seines Lebens, das er nach großen Leiden und Verfolgungen still in die Hände Gottes zurückgab.
Er wurde am 25. Juni 1939 vom verehrungswürdigen Pius XII. selig- und vom Diener Gottes Paul VI. am 26. Oktober 1975 heiliggesprochen.
