Letztgenannte Aufnahme mit dem Bariton Konrad Jarnot und Carl-Heinz März am Flügel ist ein schöner Beleg, wie Inge Borkh lange nach Beendigung ihrer Opernkarriere noch als Sprecherin mit höchster Vortragskunst zu fesseln verstanden hat.
Damit schlug sie auch den Bogen zurück zu den Schauspielanfängen ihrer Bühnenlaufbahn in den späten 30er Jahren.

In doing so she was in fact returning to her roots as an actress, for it was in the spoken theatre that she had begun her career in the late 1930s.
