Die Ukraine war aufgefordert, ihren Wahlprozess, die Reform ihrer Justizorgane sowie das Problem eines selektiven Vorgehens der Justiz – insbesondere im Fall Julia Timoschenko – anzugehen.
Die Hohe Vertreterin Catherine Ashton hob hervor, dass der Fall geklärt werden muss und dass der Rat die dahingehenden Bemühungen der Beobachtungsmission des Europäischen Parlaments weiterhin unterstützen wird.
