Das Globe Theatre, der Ort, an dem Shakespeares Stücke, unter der Regie des Meisters selbst, von 1599 bis 1613 aufgeführt wurden.
Eine freundliche junge Dame führte unsere Gruppe durch das Rund und erzählte uns, trotz Baulärms sehr verständlich, viele Fakten über das Globe, z.B. wo die Queen bei einem Theaterbesuch vor Jahren gesessen hat.
Um unser Wissen über das Gebäude und seine Funktion zu vervollständigen, lud das Museum treppab ein, und war schon bald mit 52 wissbegierigen Schülern gefüllt.
