As of 1st January 2005 the Würth Group has taken over the bar choke expert iBE in Thyrnau near Passau.
Induktive Bauelemente GmbH is technology and process leader in the field of noise suppression chokes for the automotive industry and is integrated in the Würth Elektronik Group. iBE employs 630 people in three production works in Thyrnau, Budweis (Czech Republic) and Plovdiv (Bulgaria) and achieved 20 million euro sales in 2004.
The acquisition of this company with extraordinary know-how and strong production orientation is an ideal addition for the mainly sales-oriented Würth Elektronik Group and is a first step towards strategically opening up the automotive market.

Die Induktive Bauelemente GmbH gilt als Technologie- und Prozessführer im Bereich Entstördrosseln für die Automotive Industrie und wird in die Würth Elektronik Unternehmensgruppe integriert. iBE beschäftigt in drei Produktionswerken in Thyrnau, Budweis (Tschechien) und Plovdiv (Bulgarien) 630 Mitarbeiter und erzielte 2004 einen Umsatz von rund 20 Millionen Euro.
Der Zukauf des Unternehmens mit herausragendem Knowhow und starker Produktionsausrichtung ist für die vornehmlich vertriebsorientierte Würth Elektronik-Gruppe aus technologischer Sicht eine ideale Ergänzung und bildet den ersten Schritt in eine strategische Erschließung des Automotive Marktes.
