DARK MAN SHADOW wurde im Jahr 1998 von Gitarrist und Sänger Sorroth gegründet, der kurz darauf in Form von Samotha ( Keyboards, Gesang ) ein weiteres Mitglied für die Band fand.
Mit „Incarnation" erschien 2000 das erste Demo, welches bereits für Aufsehen sorgte und erste Auftritte zur Folge hatte.

Für das szenische Konzert „Jabitudu Persilasi - A Pilot Incarnation“, das Improvisationen und Eigenkompositionen mit Stücken von Billie Holiday, The Clash und Muhammad Arifin kombiniert, wird die Band durch den von Barbara Morgenstern geleiteten Chor der Kulturen der Welt unterstützt.
