Ziel der Tagung ist der Austausch von Ideen, Forschungsansätzen and Ergebnissen auf dem Gebiet der Alpinen Glaziologie.

You are cordially invited to the next Alpine Glaciology Meeting ( AGM 2011 ) to be held at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Munich, Germany.
The aim of this meeting is to exchange ideas, research concepts and results in the field of Alpine Glaciology.

The distribution and flow characteristics of surge-type glaciers in the Canadian High Arctic, Annals of Glaciology 36 2003, p.73-81.). 1977 wurde er in seiner Ruhephase beobachtet, während der er sich zurückzog, grosse Tafeleisberge bildete und eine typische, stark von Schmelzwassertümplen und -bächen zerfurchte Oberfläche aufwies.
2007 war seine Zungenposition, ähnlich wie 1999, viel weiter vorn.

The distribution and flow characteristics of surge-type glaciers in the Canadian High Arctic, Annals of Glaciology 36 2003, p.73-81.).In 1977 it was observed during a quiescent phase, when it was receeding, produced tabular icebergs and had a characteristically potholed surface.
In 2007 it was found to have a terminus position rather similar to 1999 and which was, at the southern margin, nearly 10 kilometres more advanced than in 1977.
