Nach zehnjähriger Forschungsarbeit an der britischen Universität Cambridge auf dem damals noch neuen Gebiet der computerunterstützten Fertigung, gründete Dr. Arthur Flutter 1977 NC Graphics Ltd. in Cambridge, um eigenständig CAD / CAM Software zu entwickeln.
Anfängliche Produkte waren Software für die Schuhindustrie, für das Design und die Produktion von Schiffsrümpfen, zur Herstellung von Turbinenschaufeln, sowie für den Automobilrennsport.

After ten years of research at the University of Cambridge on the then new field of computeraided manufacturing, 1977, Dr. Arthur Flutter founded NC Graphics Ltd .. in Cambridge to develop its own CAD / CAM software.
Initial products were software for the footwear industry, for the design and production of ship hulls for the production of turbine blades, as well as the automobile racing.
