Mit der Einführung des Konzepts des reinen Waxing Studios in 2005 mussten wir einen Namen für unsere Mitarbeiterinnen finden, die Waxing an Frauen und Männern durchführen.
„Haarentfernerin“ klang uns jedoch zu unsexy.
Ein neuer Begriff sollte also her.

Ich finde das Motto DIY, „fertig ist unsexy“, schon sehr spannend, obwohl „Do it yourself“ in letzter Zeit ja eher zu so einer Art Baukasten-Philosophie verkommen ist.
Da wird mir eine Anleitung vorgegeben und innerhalb dieser Maßeinheit darf ich dann kreativ sein.

I think the slogan DIY, “prefab is unsexy,” is really exciting although “do it yourself” has recently deteriorated into a kind of construction-set philosophy.
I’m presented with a sheet of instructions, and I’m allowed to be creative within these preset measurements.
