Die von der Stadt Wien ( MA 50 ), dem Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Arbeit, dem Österreichischen Städtebund, dem niederländischen Fonds “ DIGH ” sowie den österreichischen Banken Bank Austria, Kommunalkredit, Raiffeisen International und Erste Bank finanzierte Studie entwickelt ein funktionsfähiges Modell zur Schaffung von Mietwohnungsangeboten für mittlere und untere Einkommensschichten.
Leistbare Mieten bei einem moderaten Förderungseinsatz durch nationale und internationale Finanzquellen können durch eine Wohnbaufinanzierungsagentur ( “ Housing Finance Agency ” - HFA ) erreicht werden , die im Sinne einer Public-Private-Partnership die Potenziale der vor Ort tätigen Kommerzbanken , der internationalen Entwicklungsbanken , nationaler und regionaler wohnungspolitischer Instrumente und Bauträger verknüpft .
