Das Zwergschnäppermännchen erinnert mit der orangeroten Kehle an ein Rotkehlchen, unterscheidet sich von diesem aber durch das typische Schwanzmuster.
Der kleinste europäische Fliegenschnäpper ist bei uns ein seltener Gast und hat 2003 erstmals im Prättigau gebrütet, was sich angesichts des 30 Jahre zuvor entdeckten Brutvorkommens im benachbarten Vorarlberg abgezeichnet hatte.
