He was President of the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker ( GDCh ), Hamburg section, Dean of the faculty of chemistry at the University of Hamburg, Director of the Institute for Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry, and is a member of the GDCh, DECHEMA, Naturforscher und Ärzte, Verein deutscher Ingenieure, and Amcerican Chemical Society.
He has published more than 300 articles and books and holds 20 patents.

Prof. Kaminsky hat bisher mehr als 300 Artikel und Bücher veröffentlicht und hält 20 Patente.

Besides many students and members of the university Dean Prof. Norbert Wehn welcomed top-class guests as well as former members of the faculty from all over the world.
Dr. Werner Lange ( née Schmidt ), 40 years ago one of the first staff members of the department, had come from Ireland and took the opportunity to speak to the guests.

Herr Dr. Werner Lange ( geb. Schmidt ), vor 40 Jahren einer der ersten Mitarbeiter im Fachbereich, war eigens zur Veranstaltung aus Irland angereist und nahm die Gelegenheit wahr, im Verlauf der Veranstaltung einige Worte an die Gäste zu richten.
