Um von der hochgelegenen Altstadt Taorminas an die Küste zu gelangen gibt es drei Möglichkeiten: per Pedes, Bus oder Seilbahn.
Anfangs sind wir noch gelaufen, aber nach wenigen Tagen nahmen wir öfters die Seilbahn - mit 1,60 € ( einfache Strecke ) bzw. 2,70 € nicht ganz billig, aber der schnellste und bequemste Weg, um in die Stadt zu gelangen.

For getting from the old part of town down to the coast there are three ways: by foot, bus or cable railway.
In the beginning we walked, but after a few days we took the cable railway more often - for 1,60 € ( one-way ) or 2,70 € respectively it ´ s not cheap but the fastest and most comfortable way to get into town.

Die Seilbahn wurde leider durch den Ausbruch des Ätna 2001 zerstört.
Mit den Allradbussen kommt man bis auf eine Höhe von 2.750 m.
