Die Teams können Ballast an ihren Motorrädern hinzufügen, um das Minimalgewicht zu erreichen und das Gewicht darf vor der anfänglichen technischen Kontrolle kontrolliert werden, aber die Hauptgewichtskontrolle wird am Ende der Trainingssessions oder am Ende des Rennens vorgenommen.
In den Klassen der Moto2 ™ und Moto3 ™ wird das Komplettgewicht des Fahrers mit vollständiger Schutzkleidung zusätzlich zum Gewicht des Motorrades genommen.
